Exhibitions Maestro (35%):

  • Lead the charge in developing multi-year exhibition schedules, policies, and best practices.
  • Curate magnificent exhibitions from concept to reality – think research, scripting, installing, and just about everything in between!

Collections Guardian (30%):

  • Champion the stewardship of our priceless collections. Oversee accessioning/deaccessioning, documentation, preservation, and legal compliance like a pro.
  • Ensure all artifacts and items are lovingly cared for, documented, and preserved for future generations.

Museum Leadership Pro (25%):

  • Be at the helm of our annual budgets, strategic plans, and capital improvement projects.
  • Join forces with staff and community partners to create engaging programs and events that build strong community ties and loyal membership.

Fundraising Dynamo (10%):

  • Collaborate on exciting fundraising initiatives, grant writing, and building great relationships with donors.
  • Unlock resources and sponsorships that will help elevate the impact of OPM!

Bringing Expertise & Passion!

Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s in Museum Studies, History, Anthropology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years in professional museum roles, with a knack for curating and managing collections.
  • Proven leadership in managing teams and budgets.
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in collection management software like PastPerfect.
  • Stellar research skills and the ability to inspire and engage various stakeholders.

Nifty Extras

  • Grant writing, donor relations, and fund-raising chops.
  • Digital curation skills to make online collections pop.
  • Experience in visitor engagement, exhibit evaluation, and integrated media.
